Up until recently, North American television was broadcast and displayed using the NTSC Standard resolution (the amount of pixels on our TV) of 720 x 480. The new HD ATSC standards begin at 1280p x 720p. There are higher resolutions available in today's LCD and Plasma displays, but acchievable mostly from Blu-Ray Disc players, computers and Gaming systems. There are some very good articles (but sometimes confusing) about HDTV available on the Internet. If anything is still fuzzy, come talk to us at the store and we will give you the complete story so you won't be disapointed with your purchase. Which is better, Plasma, LED or LCD? It's an on-going battle that has not been fully resolved yet. It used to be each had their own advantages, but the gap is closing rapidly. Choosing between the three will depend on your viewing particulars and if you'll use the TV for more than just watching broadcast television. Better to talk to us in the store before you make your purchase. I want to put some decent sound into my boat. What's the best way? Well for starters, Marine audio equipment and placement are two extremely vital ingredients to a great experience on the water. What's even better, we are boaters too!! We have many years of testing different brands to realize it takes more than the color white to make a great marine speaker. If you are in need of an audio system that maintains the quality of the vessel, adds to the enjoyment of a calm, hot sunny day, then call us today to discuss your marine audio options. When is High Def no longer High Def? With still or slow moving images, the resolution of both Plasma and LCD high def flat panels can be very similar. As soon as you start watching anything with action, though, a drop in resolution occurs. Some flat panel LCD HDTVs can loose more than half of their viewable resoution. In other words, performance can be directly related to the value of the set purchased. That is why LCD televisions are created with both 60HZ and 120HZ panels. The 120HZ panels maintain a fast motion image without the fear of "ghosting" like the 60HZ panels. The New Samsung LCD Panels coming will be operating a 240HZ. That'll give the Plasma tv's a run for their money! I was Told that No matter what, I need a new Digital TV if i want to use my antenna system.. Actually, you don't. We have the HD Convertor boxes in-stock for your analog television. This will allow your older tv to receive digital channels at a reasonable price of $89.95. A new HD television has the digital tuner required to receive these channels so no box is required. If you are using ANY brand of satellite system, or cable box, nothing is needed on your end. If you use an antenna with a tower, and you are trying to receive US Broadcast, you'll require one of the above items. Tv, Box, or Sat. system!!
Do you Price Match?? Yes!!, when comparing the exact model, same level of service etc., we will match any competitors price. The level of service you sometimes receive or do not receive can sometimes make or break your experience. We pride ourselves on a unique level of service, cleanliness and professionalism. Call us today to discuss your needs. Do you service what you sell?? We service our products in-house whenever possible. Certain items can not be done locally here, but rest assured, we will look after it from start to finish.
